Only core-academic (achievement) subjects are considered for Honor Roll. There are three levels within Honor Roll: Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors.
HonorsG.P.A. = 3.0 - 3.49

High HonorsG.P.A. = 3.5 - 3.99

Highest HonorsG.P.A. = 4.0
(Straight A's) |
At the end of each trimester, an awards ceremony is held to recognize those upper-grade students that have earned a G.P.A. (grade point average) of 3.0 or higher. To determine your child's GPA, a point value is given to each letter grade:
A's (A+, A, A-) = 4 pts.
B's (B+, B, B-) = 3 pts.
C's (C+, C, C-) = 2 pts.
D's (D+, D, D-) = 1 pt.
F's (F)= 0 pts.
B's (B+, B, B-) = 3 pts.
C's (C+, C, C-) = 2 pts.
D's (D+, D, D-) = 1 pt.
F's (F)= 0 pts.
I then add all earned points up and divide by 8 (the number of core-academic achievement subjects). The resulting average determines your child's overall G.P.A.
